As you read in the title, I have a new book that will be available for sale on Thursday, November 16. The book is entitled Only Exceedingly Shy, and will be available on Amazon Kindle, Paperback, and Hardcover, with an audiobook to follow in about March of next year. I would also like to announce a change, as Only Exceedingly Shy will be narrated by the talented Harry Frost! I wish I had a cover to show you, but as usual, I…
Isn’t it funny how time flies? It doesn’t seem like ten years since I published my first book, but I recently passed that milestone. September 1, 2013, was when I published Acting on Faith, my first novel. I’ve come a long way since then, now with more than 50 books published. That journey, and the one in which I am still engaged, has taken my life in a different direction from anything I might have expected. This past summer, I knew…
My latest novel, If Not For the Entail, is now available on Amazon. I released the eBook late Saturday evening and am now working on the paperback version. The process, from idea to completion, was not easy, so I’m pleased as punch to get to this point. I pray that my next composition goes a little easier but I suppose that is, for the most part, entirely up to me. I’m pleased with this story. It’s a bit more in-depth…
In this episode of Funny Friday, I thought I’d talk about funny as in “weird” rather than funny as in haha. I’ve often spoken about the different parts of the writing process and how I do in the various parts. I do pretty well in outlining, but it’s fairly hot and cold. If I get an idea, I can run with it, but it will sometimes take me a while to get into outlining a story. Editing, proofing, grammar checking…
I have been working on a novel since April, and I can finally see the light at the end of this particular tunnel. “If Not For the Entail” is my best composition yet, if you believe those who have read it through to the end. The plot revolves around Elizabeth Bennet’s efforts to save the family estate from a fraudulent ownership claim. I sent the manuscript to the editor today, and I plan on publishing somewhere around the third week…
Here is my second installment of Second Impressions! This one is about a K-Drama television series that I dearly love. Second Impressions – It’s Okay to Not Be Okay “Don’t make the same mistake I did and try to run when you can’t even walk. When you’re tired, get some rest. When you’re sad, go ahead and cry. It’s okay to take a break. Then one day, there will surely come a day when you’ll be able to run again.” —It’s…
Hello! I am Gianna Thomas, author of several Pride and Prejudice Variations and Regency Romance consisting of The Four Lords’ Saga Series. Is Gianna Thomas my real name? No, it is not, and I’ll tell you why. As a reader, would you appreciate going to a Regency Romance author’s page and finding Children’s coloring books, health books, a couple of cookbooks, a book on how to build a rowboat, some Regency Romance books, and other genres mixed all together? I…
Those familiar with my work know that I have spent the last seven or eight months writing the Elizabeth Said, Darcy Said series. I have finally come to book six, which is the dramatic finish to this saga. As a reward to those who have read these stories, I offer an excerpt, where Darcy and his companions have arrived at Longbourn to find the manor in turmoil because Lydia has run off with Wickham in the middle of the night. Mr….
As you may or may not know, an earlier version of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice was entitled First Impressions. And as we all know, first impressions can be misleading. But what if you decide that something is actually worth a second look? That leads us to what I hope will be an occasional series: Second Impressions. This will address works (books, television shows, etc.) that are worth not only a first look but a second look. In line with that,…
