What’s Up Wednesday – A Little Christmas Cheer
It is strange to say there is little going on just before Christmas, but when it comes to publishing, there is relatively little going on. I am hard at work writing, but my current project will not see the light of day until at least February or March, longer if the audiobook company decides to pick it up. It has a tentative title: No Indignity so Abhorrent. I hope that does not give you too many shivers. While the book does not start off in a good place, it always ends happy.
My next project to be published is actually Something More Substantial, which is being published as an audiobook. Its release date is January 31. There are always odds and ends going on, such as outlining various projects and other ideas firmly at the discovery stage. There is always something going on in my head whether or not I am actively writing. I hope this is the year I really start fleshing out some of these fantasy ideas I have had in my head forever. I am always so caught up on what Darcy and Elizabeth are doing that it can be difficult to pull my attention away!
Because it is Christmas, there are always other things going on. The choir in my congregation is working hard on the Christmas program, to be presented on Christmas Day this year, and we will even get a hint of Christmas cheer in a special service this coming week in which we will sing all the favorite carols. In the quartet we have been sharing a little holiday spirit, both caroling and singing in congregations. Recently we sang at the Giving Machines, and if you have not heard about them, they are a wonderful project in the spirit of the season that benefits local charities and those working abroad. You can find out more here.
This is what I wanted to share with you. It’s a video of the quartet singing. The sound is not the greatest, as it was taking using a cell phone. But it should give you a taste of how we do.
Merry Christmas!
